So a big thank you to Jessica from How Sweet It Is for letting me know my comment section wasn't working properly. I messed around with it, and it *should* be working now. I'm so sorry! If it continues to act up and you want to leave a comment, feel free to e-mail me!
I put my tennis shoes on last night and I popped in CardioX from the P90X workouts aaaaand.... I DID IT!!!! Wooo!!!! That's a big accomplishment for me! There were only two sequences at the end I couldn't do because of my back (I have scoliosis) but other than that, it went awesome! I was drop dead tired by the end though, I must admit.
Breakfast today was.... a Green Smoothie!
I originally heard about green smoothies from Jenna over at Eat, Live, Run. (If you don't read her blog daily--you should!) It took me awhile to warm up to the idea of putting spinach into a smoothie, but I tried it, and it is d-e-l-icious! I promise, you can't even taste the spinach. It will just turn the smoothie green!

I'll be honest--today's smoothie was not one of my best because of a key missing ingredient--frozen fruit. I love using frozen fruit as the source of the "iciness" in my smoothies as opposed to ice cubes. But alas, that's what I had today. Today's mixture:
1 c. V8 Splash (Blueberry Acai)
1 serving GenSoy Chocolate protein powder (LOVE that stuff!)
3 big handfuls spinach lots of ice.
As you can see in the photo, the ice just kinda separates things. Here's an example of what I normally do and it's much much better:
1 c. V8 Splash or non-fat milk
1 serving GenSoy Chocolate protein powder
1 serving frozen fruit (can be a frozen banana, frozen mixed berries, frozen strawberries, etc)
2-3 handfuls spinach
I have one of these almost every day for either breakfast or lunch! Because this morning's smoothie was sub par, I only drank half and decided to snack on this baby:

A thin slice of homemade pumpkin bread! YUM.
Today at 12:30, I'm meeting a photographer from PopCity Media over at Te Cafe. A few months ago I was interviewed by a writer regarding my other blog, Pittsburgh Perambulations. Now they want a picture too. ;-) There's a special event going on at work today, so I volunteered to work from 4-11pm. Whew!
Oh! For any of you in the Pgh area, has everyone heard about GoodTaste! Pittsburgh?! I highly recommend you get a ticket and go this Saturday! Duff from Ace of Cakes will be there along with many other celebrity chefs. Lots of sampling, workshops, wine tastings, discounts, and more! I bought my ticket this morning and can't wait! Hope to see you there!

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

I so wish I could go to Good Taste Pittsburgh! I'm originally from Pittsburgh, but now live in Michigan. I love your Pittsburgh picture at the top by the way - brings back memories! I can see the building where I used to work! :)
What a great blog! I'll be coming back.
I'd love to spend a day just like you did... Looks like such fun, and all those yummy things to eat. Market Day here is tomorrow!
